The wonderful barn- Ireland

The Wonderful Barn is a corkscrew shaped barn found in Ireland, with a distinctive  staircase spiraling around the barns exterior.

The barn is thought to have been used as a granary, suggested by the hole in the middle of each floor. It was built following the famine of 1740-1741 as demand for grain stores was high, in case of another famine.
